BAila boos parent tot ballet

This 4 week class will have you and your toddler twirling, tiptoe-ing, and giggling together! Baila Boos is a playful introduction to ballet where preschoolers and their grown-ups dance side by side. Each class blends imaginative movement with real ballet basics, taught in a fun, age-appropriate way. Little ones build coordination, confidence, and classroom readiness while developing kindness, self-esteem, and a love of music and movement. To get the most out of class, children should be able to walk on their own. 

Ballet I

In Ballet I, young dancers receive a basic introduction to ballet steps and positions, while enhancing their motor skills and coordination to music. Classes are structured with time at the barre and center floor but will also include fun dance games, story-telling with movement and free dance with various props. Introduce your little dancer to the beautiful art of ballet! 

Ballet I (Non-Recital)

In this 4-week Ballet I class, young dancers ages 3-7 receive a basic introduction to ballet steps and positions, without the pressure of preparing for a recital. Ballet  enhances motor skills and coordination of movement to music. Classes are structured with time at the barre and center floor but will also include fun dance games, story-telling with movement and free dance with various props. Introduce your little dancer to the beautiful art of ballet! Spring schedule only. 

Ballet/hip hop combo

Our combination beginning technique classes combine two classes in one! Pre-ballet for half the class time and the second half with a fusion of hip-hop and jazz. The ballet portion includes barre fundamentals such as positions of the arms and feet, balance and stretching. The fusion portion includes isolations and across the floor combinations required for both jazz and hip hop. Dance games are also incorporated into these lessons. 


Other combination classes include ballet/tap, actobatics/hip hop and two new classes ballet/musical theater and tap/K-Pop.

Acrobatics/ Hip Hop

Welcome to the exciting world of Awesome Acrobatics & Groovy Moves This unique course combines the exhilarating elements of acrobatics for half the class with the infectious beats of hip-hop dance the other half, creating a fun and engaging experience for our youngest performers. Watch your child shine on the mat and the dance floor! 

Ballet/Tap

This class an introduction to dance for the young dancer between the ages of 3-7. Learn the basics of tap for half the class and ballet fundamentals the other half. Students will develop coordination, strength, dance technique, rhythm, and musicality in a welcoming environment. Ballet/tap students will prepare two dances for the big recital.

k-pop/Tap

Combine two of our fun classes in one! A high-energy combo class for ages 3–7 that blends playful K-pop moves with beginner tap fundamentals. Dancers build rhythm, coordination, and confidence while having tons of fun. Tap shoes required within 30 days of enrollment.

Ballet/Musical Theater

Ballet/Musical Theater

Combine two awesome classes in one! A high-energy combo class for ages 3–7 that blends musical theater moves with ballet fundamentals. The ballet portion includes barre fundamentals such as positions of the arms and feet, balance and stretching. Then dancers build rhythm, coordination, and confidence while having fun dancing to musical theater favorites from Sponge Bob, Shrek, Frozen and more!. 

Recreational Dance Lessons

Ballet II, III, and IV

Our ballet classes are strongly encouraged for all school aged students. Through ballet dance lessons, students learn ballet terminology, positions, steps, combinations, stretching and ballet dances. The student gains an understanding of balance, grace and freedom of movement through proper body alignment and placement. All forms of western dance taught at the studio - jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and Mexican Folkloric - require knowledge of basic ballet technique and terminology. Beginning through advanced levels. 

Hip Hop i, Ii & III

Students will grow their abilities in both smooth and hard-hitting Hip Hop styles and develop their rhythm, coordination, and attitude! Learn to dance the greatest grooves to the latest beats in Hip Hop dance lessons. These powerful, high energy classes are great for kids who love to move and have plenty of drive. Group classes are available for students aged 3 and up, beginning and continuing levels. We use clean music. 

K-Pop i & II

Inspired by the global sensation K-Pop Demon Hunters! K-Pop has taken the world by storm—and now your dancer can join the fun!  Students will learn the foundations of contemporary and funk dance with the excitement of K-pop style. Bring your friends, bring your energy, and shine like true K-Pop stars! Dancers will learn high-energy K-Pop choreography, and build strong dance skills!

Mexican Folkloric I, II & III

Mexican Folkloric Dance showcases the Mexican culture and heritage in the traditional dance, music, song, dress and history of Mexico. Mexico's modern folk dance tradition is a blending of elements from its Indigenous, African, and European heritage. Mexican Folkloric dance has had an important impact on the culture of the United States, especially in Mexican American communities such as Berwyn, Cicero, and Chicago's Little Village and Pilsen neighborhoods. We offer beginning through advanced levels and a performance group.

Ever been so happy you wanted to do backflip? Learn how here! Acrobatics is tumbling and much more! Our students are taught skills and movement on a professional mat along with balance beam work and other equipment skills. Our students learn the importance of agility, concentration, coordination, and strength in order to use their muscles properly to perform acrobatic skills. Beginner and intermediate levels are offered.


AcroDance blends contemporary dance technique with acrobatic skills.. Dancers learn to move with control and flow as they safely build tricks into choreography.


Acro/Cheer blends acrobatic tricks with synchronized dance team movement. Students will focus on timing, teamwork, and showmanship while learning group formations and high-impact choreography. 


Contemporary/ Lyrical

Contemporary dance is considered an independent discipline that melds jazz, ballet, and American modern dance together. It is usually performed to instrumental music and also makes greater use of the floor to diversify the movement. Lyrical is contemporary dance performed to music with lyrics so that it inspires expression of strong emotions the choreographer feels from the lyrics of the song. The dance can tell a story or not, be an pure exploration of movement, or be a combination of patterns that evoke a certain feeling in the dancer, and ideally also in the audience. Ages 8 and up

Step into the spotlight and explore the magic of Broadway! In this high-energy 45-minute class, students ages 8 and up will learn choreography inspired by musical theater classics. Focusing on ensemble movement and multiple dance styles, this class builds confidence and creativity. No acting, no singing—just dance! No prior experience required—just bring your enthusiasm and love for the stage!

Get ready to move with energy and pizzaz! This fun and fast-paced class teaches the fundamentals of jazz dance, including kicks, turns, jumps, isolations, and beginner-level combinations. Dancers will build strength, coordination, and confidence through technique-building exercises that focus on proper form and the specific movements that define jazz as a dance style. With upbeat music and a supportive atmosphere, students will grow as performers while learning the building blocks of this exciting genre.

Tap your way into rhythm, energy, and confidence in this introductory class. This upbeat tap class gets dancers moving, listening, and creating music with their feet. Students will learn foundational tap technique, timing, and combinations while building speed, clarity, and style.


From basic steps to fun, energetic routines, dancers will develop coordination and musicality in a high-energy, encouraging environment. Perfect for beginners or those ready to level up their tap skills! Purchase of tap shoes recommended. 

Pointe

Consider Private Lessons

Pointe

Pointe class is the part of classical ballet technique that concerns training "sur les pointes," supporting all the body weight on the tips of fully extended feet in specially crafted  pointe shoes. Only advanced ballet dancers 12 years of age or older, who pass a readiness test, and have the instructor's permission are eligible to take pointe class.

Demi-pointe (pointe preparation) is also taught.

Dance conditioning supports advanced students with targeted stretching, strengthening, and alignment exercises designed to build control, flexibility, and power. It’s the perfect complement to regular technique classes, helping dancers move with more grace, strength, and confidence. All upper-level students are encouraged to take at least two technique classes per week, and this class is a great choice for a second classe. It offers essential support for serious dancers.

Private lessons are 30-minute one-on-one lessons that are set at the same time weekly and are retained for a specified time period or throughout the school year. Private students participate in the spring recital and other studio performances. 


Discounted fees are available for semi-private lessons for classes with four or fewer students.

Three new adult classes are starting up this fall! 


Beginning Latin introduces you to the basics of Latin social dance—Cumbia, Bachata, and more. You’ll learn easy-to-follow steps, partner connections, and rhythm so you can feel confident on the dance floor in no time. Come with a partner or on your own. Great music, good vibes, and plenty of laughs along the way. 


Beginning Ballet is a fun, welcoming 4-week class designed for true beginners or anyone returning after a long break. You’ll learn the basics at the barre and in the center while building strength, flexibility, and confidence at your own pace. Expect great music, clear instruction, and a supportive vibe where it’s okay to laugh, try, and grow.


In Heels class you will build strength, balance, and boldness from the ground up. You’ll learn the fundamentals—walks, poses, turns, and simple choreography—at a pace that feels good, with plenty of time to practice and play. Whether you’re brand new or just curious, this is a supportive, no-pressure space to explore your style and own the room. Wear sturdy heels.
