We offer our community a quality dance experience that aligns itself with a unique set of cultural and artistic values. When we focus on our core artistic and cultural values, we deliver programming that changes children's lives. That's what matters most to us. Dance with us because of what we stand for and the commitment to our mission! We might not be the cheapest dance school in town, but we never strived to be the lowest priced commodity south of Roosevelt Road.
¡Baila Conmigo! / Dance With Me! is a fun, kind, welcoming dance studio that fosters a love of dance through creativity, technique, performance, and community participation! Students experience personal and artistic growth through high quality dance lessons beginning at age three and up.
In fulfillment of our mission, we embrace and incorporate the following values.
Dance is supposed to be fun! Joyful! We love a good sense of humor, lightheartedness and a belly laugh every day. Creativity flourishes when we don’t take ourselves so seriously. Research on resiliency shows that people who have fun in life are better problem solvers and experience less stress.
We teach young dancers to show up mentally as well as physically, to get their head in the game! Presence encourages curiosity and fuels the creative process. By being present, intentional, and committed to the movement, students can tune into to the wonderful unfoldment of their unique creative expression.
¡Baila Conmigo! / Dance With Me! Is a jerk-free zone with a zero tolerance anti-bullying policy. We encourage positivity, friendliness, and helpfulness among parents, students, and staff! When students feel safe, they will more likely explore deeper, share authentically, take risks, and reach out to make new friends. We know that civility increases the likelihood that people want to work here, dance here and create something wonderful together here.
We value all individuals’ unique talents, respect their dignity, and strive to foster their commitment to excellence in our work. Our community’s strength depends on the unity and diversity of our people, on the free exchange of ideas, and on learning, living, and working harmoniously. We put respect into practice through demonstrating good ballet etiquette, sportsmanship, and following the rules of the studio
We foster a spirit of belonging and unity based on mutual respect. We are curious about how we can best participate in the community. Dance is the universal language, when we dance together, we can overcome language, racial, economic, and other barriers society may impose. We create opportunities to create, improvise and choreograph, to be seen and see each other. There is power in making dances and sharing them with others.
All of us, individually and collectively, work hard to ensure that our students develop the character, learn the skills, and assimilate a positive mindset essential to success in life. Toward that end, we offer our parents and students high-quality dance instruction and performance opportunities with skilled professionals who serve as role models and mentors.
